Code of Conduct for Six Degrees

Six Degrees is committed to maintaining a respectful and inclusive environment for our members, employees, and volunteers. This Code of Conduct outlines the expected behaviour for all individuals involved with our organisation, guided by our values. Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in the withdrawal of membership or other disciplinary actions.

Expected Behaviour

  1. Respectful Communication:
    Treat everyone with respect and kindness, using appropriate language and tone in all interactions. Refrain from engaging in harassment, sexism, racism, hate speech, or any other form of discriminatory or offensive behaviour.
  2. Personal Conduct:
    Act in a professional and responsible manner, respecting the rights and dignity of others. Be aware of and manage your own behaviour to maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
  3. Conflict Resolution:
    Address conflicts or disagreements in a constructive and respectful manner. Seek to understand others’ perspectives and work towards a resolution that aligns with our values.
  4. Non-Solicitation:
    No spam or self-promotion without permission from an employee of Six Degrees. This includes sending direct messages of a self-promotion nature to fellow members without their consent or permission.
  5. Content Guidelines:
    Do not share age-restricted or obscene content, including text, images, or links featuring nudity, sex, hard violence, or other graphically disturbing content.
  6. Accessibility and Inclusivity:
    Ensure that all members have equal access to opportunities and resources. Be sensitive to the diverse backgrounds and experiences of others, and make an effort to accommodate their needs whenever possible.

Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, up to and including withdrawal of membership or termination of employment. Six Degrees reserves the right to take appropriate action to maintain a respectful and inclusive environment for all members, employees, and volunteers.
